Oct 7 Twin Falls to Pocatilla UT

How fortuitous that we ended up at Twin falls. We first went to the visitor center. There is at a beautiful overlook of the Snake River Gorge
The bridge across the river there is 486 feet above the river. It is the only place in the world where base jumping is allowed daily without permit.  There are about 70 jumps a day by crazies from all over the world.  Today there were a group of Australians. We were lucky enough to see somebody jump.  The little blue rectangle about half way down is the chute.

Our sightseeing destination was Craters of the Moon national Monument.  It is former volcanic area about 30-40 miles across.  It is where NASA practiced with the lunar rover. Following are some lava formations and one of the spatter cones (miniature volcano)

We then passed through Arco and saw this on a mountain side.   We are guessing these are jersey numbers
