Oct. 6 McCall to Twin Falls, ID

We had to wait for road construction this morning before we could pull out of the hotel parking lot!  We took the time to do a little shopping at a nearby store.  The rest of the day, we drove along several scenic byways.  The mountains and rivers were beautiful.

The Payette River Scenic Highway mostly ran along the River and Payette Lake.  Beth is photographing one of its roadside rapids.

Uh oh, more road construction.  Hanging chain link to slow falling rocks.

Before turning onto theSawtooth Scenic Byway We ate at the Banks Grocery /Restaurant.  No saloon, but they did have a kayak rental place out back on the river.

Some diffeerent scenerry along Sawtooth Scenic Byway

While watching for falling rocks, Beth discovered a waterfall

I really liked the look of sky and mountains as we headed south toward Sun Valley

We planned to stay somewhere near Sun Valley, but motels were in short supply.  We ended up having to drive to Twin Falls, about 30 miles down the road.
