Sept 12 - Valtiroty Bible walk-thru, Corn Palace, Badlands, Wall

We rolled out very early (~10 AM) and headed for Mitchell, SD Corn Palace.  First we checked out Valtiroti Shiloh's Temple.

 Behind the castle facade is a gift shop, Bible Land walk-thru, Hebrew Tabernacle model, tableaus from the 12 tribes of Israel, and other modeled Bible scenes


 The proprietor was a Bible scholar who shared with both theology and trivia with visitors.  Worth a visit if you are in town

Across the street at the Corn Palace, workmen refreshing exterior with new designs.  He is applying half ears that has been cut longways and trimmed


Beth talked to a workman during his break, and he said they basically color by number over a chalk design.



 Bins with numerous different colored locally grown corns we out back, and we were encouraged to help ourselves
