Athabasca Glacier in Jasper NP. The dark spots up on the glacier is an Ice Explorer and a group of tourists. It is a mile or so up there.

At the top of the ridge are the Columbia Ice Fields which feed several glaciers. The distance is deceiving: it's a long way up there
