June 10 We decided to pass up Motown because of personal safety concerns about Detroit, parking lots had names which included words like safe or safety, which inferred to us that there may b something unsafe, so we bypassed Detroit s0 we decided it might be better try a tour of the F150 plant n Dearborn MI, We bypassed Detroit, but could still see boarded up and burned out buildings. We arrived at the huge gated Ford paring lot and found a spot with the empty school buses which were about a quarter mile from anything. The temperature was about 80, but the sunny parking lot was getting hotter and we did not want Dottie to roast. We headed for home.
Speedtrap Diner. Had we passed this place, we would possibly not have eaten sandwiches 30 minutes up the road.
We headed for Homervile KOA Akron OH,where we spent th night. This is an excellent campgrond both with respect to facilities, setting and general hospitality. Cost was on the high side $45, but worth it. Many amenities.
June 11: We drove south and east through scenic Ohio countryside, partly Amish
