May 26 Dry falls, Ellensburg, WA


Tour of Grand Coulee Dam pumping station.  Grand Coolee Dam was originally built for irrigation.


We pass great river scenery as we drove south past Banks Lake. Cliffs of steamboat rock State rise ahead.

Gingko Petrified Forest Park has great views and interesting artifacts.    At the visitor center, we  learned theories of how trees become petrified and saw samples of  30-some types of petrified  trees.

We camped at Ellensburg KOA .  Cost less than $35 with all amenities and then some.
