Newport, continued April 12, 2012

Still in Newport, we visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium. It has a remarkable collection of all sorts of colorful marine life - birds and mammals, as well as fish, etc.  Following are a few photos we took. There's a good article about the Aquarium in Wiki. Recommend you determine feeding schedules if you plan to visit.

This crab - about two feet across

The aviary had common murr like we saw on the rocks earlier.  They do look like penguin when standing erect

We saw sea lions as well as sea otter that you see here

Passages of the Deep featured fish that can be found in deeper water  included  some sharks and rays
